Visiting my old Music College-Liszt Academy of Music Budapest

Not many people know this but after my conservatoire training in the UK at The Royal Academy of Music
London(4 years undergraduate) and a short postgraduate 1 year at the Royal Northern College of Music Manchester I was hungry for more tuition…I think perhaps because I had started the cello relatively late and in an adhoc way ..compared to many of my fellow students at the RAM. Starting with a shared free 30 min lesson in the corner of the school canteen with a slightly broken cello and cello teacher studying at a local teacher training college visiting my London primary school at the age of 9 .. I didn’t start to have 1 to 1 lessons until I was nearly 11 and then my amazing teacher Viv Fuller taught me so well and helped me to win a place at Junior Guildhall as a junior exhibitioner at 12 which helped my parents to afford this 1 day of high level music tuition 8.30 until 5.00pm every Saturday which I loved so much! So my journey to Budapest started with summer schools so I had a plan in my mind to return there one day to learn from the Hungarian musicians ..and I was so pleased I did…and now at this stage of my career the opportunity to return there once again was so welcome…
